Every Christian has a Biblical requirement to select God-fearing leaders (vote!) and pray for those in authority, inviting His help and presence.  The OperationVote.com website provides links to voter registration information, promotional packets to help your church in its non-partisan voter registration efforts, etc.  Also, visit IVoteValues.org for resources about why Christians should vote.

Background:  Our Basic Civic Duties Required to Preserve Liberty for Gospel Purposes
1. History reveals that America's Christian foundation is the source of liberty for all Americans!
(According to the Mayflower Institute, 80-to-85% of all missionaries and bulk of humanitarian aid to the world in the Name of Christ over the past 200 years have come from America.  America’s liberty is worth preserving as God has used America as a major fountainhead of the Gospel to the world!)
2. To preserve America's Christian foundation, liberty, and the open door for the Gospel, we have a Biblical mandate to select God-fearing leaders (Ex. 18:21, II Sam. 23:3) and pray for those in authority (I Tim. 2:1-2), inviting God's help and presence (II Chr. 7:14).
3. Public Awareness Ministries Groups pray and work together locally (city-by-city) to fulfill the Biblical mandate to select God-fearing leaders (via non-partisan voter registration in combination with local voter guide production) who preserve America's Christian foundation, liberty, and the open door for the Gospel.

Before REGISTERING TO VOTE, please review the one-page 2004 Party Platform Summary (what the parties say about themselves ), THEN compare each party platform against the Biblical standard and register for the party that best reflects these Biblical principles (i.e., advancing leaders that are: God-fearing, pro-life, pro-family).  It's also important to remember that each candidate who runs as a member of a certain political party may OR may not adhere to the party platform, therefore, we need to know each candidate individually via prayerfully analysis of voter guides.

Approaching Election Day, please prayerfully review non-partisan Voter Guides for information about the candidates and their values.

Public Awareness Ministries groups may choose to produce and distribute non-partisan local voter guides because:
1. The local offices directly affect us the most AND are the offices that WE can most impact
2. The local offices serve as a springboard to higher office
3. Christians report that they have the least information about local offices and that local voter guides definitely help in fulfilling the Biblical mandate to select God-fearing leaders at the entry level.
